Mahmuda Sharmin is a PhD student for the "Which Plant Where?" project at Western Sydney University's Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment.
Mahmuda's Background is in Forestry and Environmental Science. She completed her MSc in Applied Ecology from the Christian-Albrechts-University zu Kiel, Germany.
Her project aims to explore the co-benefits of urban green vegetation. She will investigate the cooling benefits of urban trees in the greater Sydney region.
Her project also aims to examine abundances and diversity of pollinators along a gradient of urbanisation.
