Diana Backes is a PhD student for the “Which Plant Where?” research program at Western Sydney University’s Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment.

Diana's background is in Agricultural biology and Ecotoxicology. She previously conducted a research study on elevated CO2 and climate change effects on mustard plants.

She will be conducting experiments with the main focus on heat stress of plants, under the supervision of Professor David Ellsworth and with partner Macquarie University.
